The group formed in 2011 at the Amarrass Desert Music Festival in New Delhi, and have been wooing audiences at festivals, clubs, on TV, at weddings and private events across India, and in North America, Europe and Asia. Their international debut was at Roskilde Festival in 2014 (playing before The Rolling Stones!), have starred on MTV CokeStudio Season 3, opened the Jaipur Lit Fest. and featured on the BBC and NPR.

 

The trio’s new album ‘Kesariya Balm’ (digital/vinyl) debuted on the Transglobal World Music Charts Top 40 this summer, features the hit song ‘Bole to Mitho Lage’ (with over 1.3 million views on YouTube!), and is the first Indian folk album to be released on vinyl in India this century!

 

The Boys most recently got back from Europe in August 2017, with concerts in Denmark, Sweden, Germany and Spain. Highlights from the tour included the Boys joining Khaled on stage in Berlin (Wassermusik X), collaborating with Danish band Himmelrum, and invited to join Estrella Morente (one of Spain’s biggest artists) at the closing concert at Festival 3 Culturas in Frigiliana! HIMMELRUM:
Himmelrum udgav i maj 2017 deres selvbetitlede debutalbum. Efter udgivelsen har de turneret rundt i Østeuropa for at spille koncerter, spille på gaden og intensivt samle inspiration til det næste album, der udkommer i maj 2018 via Honeyland Records. I november udkom samarbejdet mellem Himmelrum og indiske Barmer Boys, et 16 minutter langt one-take, et stykke transcontinental bliss, der er udgivet på indiske Amarass Records og danske Honeyland Records.
