Sofus Forsberg blev født i Humlebæk i 1970 og er i dag en af de største personligheder på den elektroniske musikscene i Danmark. Han har boet en årrække i Berlin, hvilket har haft en tydelig indflydelse på hans lyd og virke som elektronisk musiker. Som en af de få danskere har Sofus udviklet en sjælden virtousitet på modular-synthezisere, som gør hans live sets til storslåede koncertoplevelser. For nyligt har han optrådt i Boiler Room i Berlin med bla. Florian Meindl, Naty Seres og Jessica Kert. Når studiet af lyd og diverse spillejobs ude i verden ikke optager hans tid, underviser han i elektronisk musik rundt omkring i landet eller arbejder som mastering tekniker. Sofus har tidligere udgivet sin music på Mindwaves, Atmophile Electronics og Jenka music.

ATTENTION, altered concert start: Now 10 PM / 22.00 Electronica legend Sofus Forsberg (DK) gives a free live concert at HeadQuarters in Aarhus! It happens on the occasion of the opening of Kassandra Production’s new performance THE SOUL CATCHER, to which Forsberg has created the soundscape. Come on in and immerse yourself in Forsberg’s electronic sound. With a foundation in shamanistic work he provides an experimental edge with excursions into drones, and a rather hypnotic style, strongly influenced by the rave culture and the Berlin techno scene. Perhaps he will also give a taste of the sound of THE SOUL CATCHER? PROGRAM:

Sofus Forsberg was born in the outskirts of Copenhagen in 1970 and is today one of the most respected names on the electronic scene in Denmark. He has lived in Berlin for a number of years, which has clearly influenced his sound and work as an electronic musician. As one of few Danes Sofus has developed a rare virtuosity on modular synthesizers that turns his live sets into magnificent concert experiences. Recently, he has appeared in the Boiler Room in Berlin with Florian Meindl, Naty Seres and Jessica Kert among others. When not occupied with studying sound and playing gigs around the world, he teaches electronic music and works as a mastering technician. Sofus has released his music on Mindwaves, Atmophile Electronics and Jenka music.
