Inspired by acts such as The Kills, Queens of the Stone Age and Jack White, The Shrines have strong musical connections to the Californian desert rock sound, mixed with a cool, Scandinavian vibe.

The duo cuts to the bone of rock music as they take the stage, solely accompanied by the MPC-2000xl sequencer used by hiphop legends. Recently, The Shrines moved from Denmark to Hamburg to pursue new horizons, and they’ve brought that honesty and simplicity with them! This is a duo to keep an eye on!
Early on, The Shrines played at The Social in London, where they were presented by the Music Marketing Agency FRUKT and the publisher house BMI as one of three new, exciting acts. Most recently, they have been presented in Latvia as part of an official Nordic initiative.
In Germany, The Shrines’ 2nd single, Nightfall, was rotated on the radio station Bremen Vier and a range of college radios across Germany.

The Boy That Got Away beskrives således: ‘Uforfalsket og kompromisløs rock, hvor de stærkeste elementer fra rockens guldalder i 60’erne og 70’erne, møder grungens vilde, men melodiske rebelskhed. Det er lyden af buldrende trommer, pulserende baslinier, overbelastede forstærkere og en respektindgydende vokal i front.’
Den respektindgydende vokal tilhører Tim Alvin Boström, og den er simpelthen en af bedste rockstemmer i Danmark! Tim Alvin har senest været på Tour med Jesper Binzer, og i aften kan han altså helt exceptionelt opleves solo, inden koncerten med The Shrines. Det bliver le-gen-da-ry!
