    O T O O T O

    OTOOTO (Lyd Lyd på Japansk) er det nyeste skud på stammen i Dansk Jazz.
    Siden bandet blev dannet i 2019 har de høstet anderkendelse fra radiostationer og anmeldere. Allerede i November 2020 kunne de se tilbage på et år med et utal af koncerter og tre single udgivelser.

    Lyden af OTOOTO er defineret af Wallace og Dues lyriske og lette melodier parret med en karakteristisk lyd af den legendariske vintage synthesizer Juno 106. Tilføj et stærkt Neo-Soul/ R&B groove og rammerne er dannet.
    Sangende fylder lytteren med en følelse af håb og glæde imens musikken udfolder sig på en harmonisk og legende måde.

    Den 21 maj 2021 udgav OTOOTO deres længe ventede debutplade “This Love Is For You.” Albummet er blevet rost af anmeldere på bla. Politikken og har figureret som Ugens Album på p8jazz.

    OTOOTO er en unik sammensætning som præsentere fem store personligheder i dansk jazz på en måde som ikke er set før.

    Bjørn Svin:
    Bjørn Svin is a Danish music producer. The characteristic music and concert style he has been developing since the early 90s is cherished by many fans in Scandi- navia. His dedication to detail in the studio really comes across in his work. He has invested years to master the studio technology needed to reach a form of melodic, rhythmic and timbral perfection. 

     
    Endless Process is proud to have as its debut, his deepest and most personal al- bum to date. Its called ‘2 point 5 step pets’ and was composed, recorded and mixed between Berlin and Copenhagen over the last couple of years.

    

    Its long durations and evolving pathways up and down the sonic spectrum, gives the music a spatial geometry both deep and wide, extending horizontally through recorded time and towering vertically through the full frequency range. We get to ride trains underwater ( reswim ) or roller coasters through air bubbles ( torden- tracket ) . There’s even a ‘kurzstrecke’ towards some kind of brand new love ( bus to get her ). 

    

    Fans of Bjørn’s concerts and output, will appreciate the extension of his signature production styles – complex interwoven polyphony and multi-layered grooves, al- ways with a welcoming and inviting artistry.

    

    Endless Process is a label that wants to re-frame Artistic freedom and explore a holistic method toward artistic fulfilment with none of the old music business dog- mas in the way. We want recording artists to feel satisfied, productive and expres- sive whilst maintaining the highest production values. That’s why an album like ‘2 point 5 step pets’ can explore so much with its beautiful long form structures. Long durations are perfectly acceptable in the new label paradigm, for example.
     
    Antti/Fisker:
    Rasmus Fisker (DK) and Antti Koukonen (FIN) shares an intuitive approach to improvisation, which is based on creating an atmospheric sound environments utilizing semi-random generative software, and a combination of field recordings, live processing and additive synthesis. The sonic output of the duo can be heard morphing between surreal timbres and soundscape collages made from environmental recordings and synthetic, melodic sounds.

    ERUM creates dark and intense music with a mixture of persevering saxophone and dense guitar sounds, aiming at transcendence via motives and improvisation. ONEISLAND:
    ONEISLAND is the solo project of Danish saxophone player Lasse Enøe. Using circular breathing, extended techniques and circular patterns he makes sheets of sound and meditates over his own compositions and jazz standards. The music varies from strictly written to free improvisations.

    Karsten Pflum:

    Karsten Pflum is a restlessly creative Danish electronic musician who has built a wide-ranging discography, releasing music since 2002 on various labels such as Worm Interface, Rump Recordings, Touched Music, Caoutchou Records, Hymen, Ad Noiseam and Mindwaves. The music varies from tight funky beat driven IDM, electro and jungle to quirky melody lines, abstract soundscapes and lush ambient, tied together with creative programming and treatment. There is always a curious eye and ear on the compositions and mixes, making the Pflum sound poignant, quirky and intelligent.

Shōjiki is a musician and sound engineer from Silkeborg and Japan, and has roots in Jazz, Electronic, Psychedelic, Hiphop, Free….
     
    Rexob.B:

    Behind the Moniker Rexob.B we find midi aficionado and bedroom producer Daniel Nikolaj Sand. With focus on playful arrangements with a touch of melancholy and frisky tight drums – Where it’s possible to move rhythmically or relax on the floor imagining distant galaxies and teenagers in love dancing in the summer breeze.
